Job summary

ACES is seeking a Clinical Manager, Treatment Initiation to evaluate clients for ABA services using evidence-based assessment techniques. The role conducts initial in-person or telehealth intake meetings and sets long-term objectives with the family.

You will transition clients to the treatment team, monitor hours in the first authorization period, and support ongoing trainings for staff. A Master’s degree and BCBA certification are required, with 3–5 years of supervision experience.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Applied Behavioral Analysis, psychology, education, social work, or related field.
  • BCBA certification or clinical license required.
  • 3+ years (5+ years preferred) of clinical supervision experience as a BCBA.
  • Valid driver's license or access to reliable transportation.
  • Comfortable working in home, community, school, clinic, and military base environments.

Position Summary

The ACES Clinical Manager, Treatment Initiation (TM) is primarily responsible for utilizing evidence‑based ABA assessment techniques to evaluate clients for ABA services. The ACES Treatment Initiation Manager provides the initial in‑person or telehealth clinical intake meeting and sets forth ABA treatment by identifying long‑term objectives of the client and their family.

Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Provides timely and accurate assessments to clients in the clinic, home, community, or on telehealth.
  • Utilizes evidence‑based ABA assessment techniques.
  • Transitions clients from initial intake to their treatment team and monitors utilization of recommended hours during the first authorization period.
  • Assists the Vice President of Clinical Service Delivery and Assessment Coordinator with ongoing trainings.
  • Reviews treatment overview, processes, and expectations with the family; keeps the care team updated regarding status of assessment.
  • Prepares and submits a final ABA assessment report using approved case‑specific templates.
  • Stays informed of ABA assessment and evaluation techniques and tools by attending ongoing trainings.
  • Reviews quarterly outcome data from the region and collaborates on clinical strategy elevation.
  • Assists Clinical Director with supporting challenging clinical cases to influence positive outcomes.
Required Qualifications
  • Ability to work independently with only general supervision.
  • Minimum master’s degree in Applied Behavioral Analysis, psychology, education, social work, or related field; BCBA certification or clinical license.
  • 3+ years (5+ years preferred) of clinical supervision experience as a BCBA.
  • Valid driver’s license and/or access to reliable transportation.
  • Background check, tuberculosis test, LiveScan fingerprint, and any other funding‑source required clearance.
  • Comfortable working in home, community, school, clinic, and military base environments.
  • Comfortable working in group settings and leading small groups of staff and clients.
  • Strong desire to support and develop skills and abilities of staff.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, word processing, spreadsheets, e‑mail, database software, project management software.
  • Highly organized.
  • Professional, positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Experience
  • 5+ years’ experience working with clients with ASD or other special needs.
  • 5+ years training and/or education related to ASD.
Physical Requirements

Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force and lift/move up to 25 pounds. Direct work with clients may include, without limitation, the following physical demands: sitting, kneeling, squatting, running, twisting and turning, reaching above shoulders, and frequent physical transitions.
