Job summary

ACES is seeking a Clinical Manager, Treatment Initiation (TM) in Katy, TX to lead initial intake assessments and set ABA treatment objectives. The role involves in-person or telehealth evaluations, coordinating with treatment teams, and ensuring high-quality outcomes for children and families.

The candidate will have a Master’s in ABA or related field with BCBA certification, plus 3+ years of supervision experience (5+ years preferred).

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in ABA, psychology, education, social work or related field with BCBA certification or clinical license.
• 3+ years (5+ years preferred) of clinical supervision experience as a BCBA.
• 5+ years’ experience working with ASD or other special needs.
• Valid driver’s license and/or access to reliable transportation.
• Comfortable working in home, community, school, clinic, and military base environments.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite, word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, database software, and project management tools.
• Highly organized and professional demeanor.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides timely and accurate assessments to clients in the clinic, home, community, or via telehealth.
• Utilizes evidence-based ABA assessment techniques.
• Transitions clients from initial intake to their treatment team and monitors hours during the first authorization period.
• Assists with ongoing trainings for Clinical Service Delivery and Assessment.
• Reviews treatment overview and keeps the care team updated on assessment status.
• Prepares and submits final ABA assessment reports using approved templates.
• Stays informed of ABA assessment techniques via trainings.
• Reviews quarterly outcome data and collaborates on clinical strategy elevation.
• Supports challenging clinical cases to influence positive outcomes.

Position Summary:

The ACES Clinical Manager, Treatment Initiation (TM) is primarily responsible for utilizing evidence-based ABA assessment techniques to evaluate clients for ABA services. The ACES Treatment Initiation Manager provides the initial in-person or telehealth clinical intake meeting and sets forth ABA treatment by identifying long-term objectives of the client and their family.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Working under the supervision of the Area Director, essential job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provides timely and accurate assessments to clients in the clinic, home, community, or on telehealth
• Utilizes evidence-based ABA assessment techniques
• Transitions clients from initial intake to their treatment team and monitor utilization of recommended hours during the first authorization period
• Assists the Vice President of Clinical Service Delivery and Assessment Coordinator with on-going trainings
• Reviews treatment overview, processes, and expectations with the family. Keep the care team updated regarding status of assessment
• Prepares and submits a final ABA assessment report using approved case-specific templates
• Stays informed of ABA assessment and evaluation techniques and tools by attending ongoing trainings
• Reviews quarterly outcome data from their region and collaborates on clinical strategy elevation
• Assists Clinical Director with supporting challenging clinical cases to influence positive outcomes

QualificationsRequired Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently with only general supervision
• Minimum Master’s Degree in Applied Behavioral Analysis psychology, education, social work or other related field; and BCBA certification or clinical license
• 3+ years (5+ years preferred) of clinical supervision experience as a BCBA

• 5+ years’ experience working with clients with ASD or other special needs
• 5+ years training and/or education related to ASD

• Valid driver’s license and/or access to reliable transportation
• Background check, tuberculosis test, LiveScan fingerprint and any other funding source required clearance
• Comfortable working in home, community, school, clinic, and military base environments
• Comfortable working in group settings and leading small groups of staff and clients
• Strong desire to support and develop skills and abilities of staff
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite, word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, database software, project management software

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force and lift/move up to 25 pounds
