UCF Health is seeking a Clinical Manager – LPNs and/or RNs to lead daily operations across the practice site. You will supervise clinical and administrative staff, coordinate with nursing and admin teams, and maintain strong relationships with referring groups to deliver patient-centered care.

This role emphasizes coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluation to uphold high-quality patient care and efficient operations within a multi-site clinical setting.

Summary

This position is accountable for the day-to-day operations of running practice site(s), which includes planning, staff management, maintaining relationships with referring groups, and on-going customer service functions. Assists the practice and faculty in providing the best possible care of patient needs; to work directly with the nursing and administrative staff, offering leadership, guidance, and assistance. Coaches, mentors, and develops competent staff to deliver high-quality patient care.

Duties

Assumes responsibility for the day-to-day operations of running practice.

• Manages and monitors the work of assigned team of clinical and administrative staff, offering guidance in the effective management of time, organization of tasks, and interdepartmental issues; gives guidance as needed to control overtime hours.
• Offers assistance to team members with questions relating to daily operations, identify training needs, documentation, etc.
• Staffs specified team; assists with coverage for vacation, time off, sick days, etc.

Oversees the hiring, training, and performance evaluations of staff members.

• Oversees all areas of training for new staff as well as continuation of training for existing staff.
• Completes performance evaluations for designated staff.

Manages internal and external communications.

• Ensures the smooth operations of all areas by keeping lines of communication open with all direct associates, physicians, other site managers, and the management team.
• Actively resolves complaints and issues as they arise.

Participates in departmental performance improvement and patient safety improvement activities.

• Creates a culture of safety to anticipate, identify and acknowledge risks and errors and promote error reporting as part of the provision of care and safety of the patient.
• Audits clinical practices to ensure high-quality care.

Work Experience

• One to three years of similar or related experience.

Certification/License

• Current LPN or RN Florida State License.
• Annual CPR, OSHA, HIPPA training/certifications.
• Other certifications as required.

Knowledge

• Knowledge of medial issues and terminology
• Knowledge of the best practices for running a clinic
• Knowledge of diagnosing and treating routine illnesses.
• Knowledge of drug therapy benefits and side effects.
• Understanding of clinic policies, safety precautions, infection control, and established medical procedures
