Critical Illness Recovery Hospital (LTACH)
A day in the life

You’ll advocate for referred patients in the pre‑admission process by collaborating with clinical teams to assess patient needs. You will serve as a resource for healthcare professionals by fostering relationships within medical facilities. With clinical expertise and problem‑solving skills, you’ll also coordinate care plans with physicians and families. Additionally, you will facilitate patient transfers and address barriers to accessing specialized post‑ICU care.

Per‑Diem Clinical Liaison (RN / RRT)

Per‑diem Clinical Liaisons cover full‑time staff who go out on PTO, maternity leave, and other leaves of absence. It's an excellent opportunity for a clinician who has another Per‑diem job with a flexible schedule.

You will gain first‑hand experience in hospital account management, third‑party reimbursement, and transitional care for critically ill patients.

What a Clinical Liaison Does

Key Responsibilities
  • You will work with physicians, discharge planners, and patients' families to plan the best continuum of care after an ICU or post‑surgical stay by utilizing your strong clinical background, payer knowledge, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Perform clinical assessments of referred patients, then counsel with patients' families to assist them in making the best care decisions for their loved one.
  • Partner with hospital case managers and physicians to create a smooth pre‑admission and transfer process by removing payer‑related and operational barriers for patients getting into our highly effective level of care.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Registered Nurse or Respiratory Therapist.
Preferred Experience
  • Two years of related experience working in a clinical healthcare setting or previous experience working in a clinical liaison role are preferred.
  • Demonstrated competency with the preadmission process, including assessments and relationship building in a rehabilitation setting or in another post‑acute care setting, is preferred.
  • Proven track record in sales and marketing with at least one year of experience in a related position is preferred.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency.
  • Must exercise sound judgment in handling the professional/confidential nature of health care sales.
