Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Bristol, TN seeks a Clinical Liaison (RN or RT/RRT) for full-time, 8 AM-5 PM. You will advocate for referred patients during pre-admission, collaborate with clinical teams, and coordinate post-ICU transfers to appropriate care.

You’ll build relationships with physicians, discharge planners, and families, addressing barriers and ensuring smooth access to our specialized level of care. Annual salary ranges from $70,000 to $87,000 with uncapped monthly bonuses.

Qualifications

• Active RN or RT/RT license in good standing.
• Ability to perform clinical assessments of medically complex patients.
• Excellent communication with physicians, families, and discharge planners.
• Experience in hospital patient transfers and care coordination.

Responsibilities

• You will work with physicians, discharge planners, and patients' families to plan the best continuum of care after an ICU or post-surgical stay by utilizing your strong clinical background, payer knowledge, and problem-solving skills.
• Perform clinical assessments of referred patients, then counsel with patients' families to assist them in making the best care decisions for their loved one.
• Partner with hospital case managers and physicians to create a smooth pre-admission and transfer process through removing payer-related and operational barriers for patients getting into our highly effective level of care.

Required Skills

• Registered Nurse (RN) or Respiratory Therapist (RT) License. Will consider other designations like LPN, PT, OT, etc., upon further review.
• Ability to complete clinical assessments of medically complex patients.

• Demonstrated success in patient advocacy.
• Superior communication and relationship-building skills.
• Prior healthcare marketing or business development experience is preferred, but extensive training is provided on this piece.
