Select Specialty Hospital – Springfield is seeking a Clinical Liaison (RN/RT) to advocate for referred patients during pre-admission. You’ll coordinate with clinical teams to assess needs and work with families and physicians to plan Continuum of care.

In this role you will perform clinical assessments, facilitate patient transfers, and help remove payer and operational barriers, ensuring timely access to post-ICU care. Onsite, full-time with onboarding and training provided.

Qualifications

• RN or RT license required; other licenses may be considered on review.
• Ability to complete clinical assessments of medically complex patients.
• Strong problem-solving and payer knowledge to support care decisions.

Clinical Liaison (RN / RRT)

Location: Select Specialty Hospital – Springfield, Critical Illness Recovery Hospital (LTACH)

A day in the life

You’ll advocate for referred patients in the pre‑admission process by collaborating with clinical teams to assess patient needs. You will serve as a resource for healthcare professionals by fostering relationships within medical facilities. With clinical expertise and problem‑solving skills, you’ll coordinate care plans with physicians and families, facilitate patient transfers, and address barriers to accessing specialized post‑ICU care.

Compensation & Benefits

• Full‑time: Monday‑Friday 8‑5 PM
• Competitive Base Salary ($70,000 – $82,000) plus Uncapped Monthly Bonus Incentives

Key Responsibilities

• Work with physicians, discharge planners, and patients’ families to plan the best continuum of care after an ICU or post‑surgical stay, leveraging your clinical background, payer knowledge, and problem‑solving skills.
• Perform clinical assessments of referred patients and counsel families to assist them in making the best care decisions.
• Partner with hospital case managers and physicians to create a smooth pre‑admission and transfer process by removing payer‑related and operational barriers.

Required Skills

• Registered Nurse (RN) or Respiratory Therapist (RT) license (will consider LPN, PT, OT, etc. upon review).
• Ability to complete clinical assessments of medically complex patients.

Preferred Skills

• Demonstrated success in patient advocacy.
• Superior communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Prior healthcare marketing or business development experience (training provided).
