Job summary

University Hospital Rehabilitation Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Clinical Liaison for Inpatient Rehabilitation on a part-time, per diem weekend schedule in Beachwood, OH. The CL role focuses on referrals, intake coordination, and on-site admission judgments to support timely patient placement and care transitions.

The candidate should have clinical experience, some marketing/sales background, EMR familiarity, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Marketing/sales experience preferred.
• Clinical experience preferred with demonstrated EMR skills.
• Formal Sales Training preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains referral relationships to drive admissions to the hospital.
• Assist and coordinate intake and pre-admission screening process.
• Perform on-site clinical judgment to determine admission appropriateness.
• Communicates with patients and families about rehabilitation options and expectations.
• Secures information related to patients' resources and benefits.
• Acts as initial contact for external case management and discharge planning with payors and facilities.
• Cover the East Side of Cleveland; may pick up hours at University Hospital Avon on the West Side.

How You'll Contribute

A Clinical Liaison who excels in this role:

• Builds and maintains referral relationships to drive appropriate admissions to the hospital
• Assist and coordinate in-take and pre-admission screening process
• Perform on-site (typically in referring facility) clinical judgment to determine appropriateness of patient for admission
• Communicates to patients and family's rehabilitation and facility options. Communicates to patients determined appropriate for admission the patient's expectations and requirements for participation
• Secures information relating to patients' resources and benefits
• Functions as initial contact for external case management and discharge planner personnel with payors and hospital facilities
• Will cover the East Side of Cleveland. May pick up hours for University Hospital Avon Rehabilitation Hospital for the West Side.

What We're Looking For

• Previous marketing/sales experience preferred
• Previous clinical experience preferred, with demonstrated skills in clinical assessment and EMR systems
• Formal Sales Training preferred
• Valid driver's license
