Job summary

Select Medical in Tennessee is seeking a Clinical Liaison (RN or RT/RRT) to advocate for referred patients during pre-admission, coordinate care plans with physicians and families, and facilitate transfers from ICU or post-surgical stays.

You will work with clinicians and hospital teams to remove payer-related barriers and ensure a smooth continuum of care. This full-time role offers uncapped monthly bonuses and a supportive orientation program.

Qualifications

• Must hold RN or RT license (or equivalent) and be eligible for licensure in the applicable state.

Critical Illness Recovery Hospital (LTACH)

Full-time: Monday-Friday 8 AM- 5 PM

Annual Salary: $70,000 to $87,000 depending on years of relevant work experience. Plus, uncapped monthly bonus incentives.

A day in the life

You’ll advocate for referred patients in the pre-admission process by collaborating with clinical teams to assess patient needs. You will serve as a resource for healthcare professionals by fostering relationships within medical facilities. With clinical expertise and problem-solving skills, you’ll also coordinate care plans with physicians and families. You will also facilitate patient transfers and address barriers to accessing specialized post-ICU care.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will work with physicians, discharge planners, and patients' families to plan the best continuum of care after an ICU or post-surgical stay by utilizing your strong clinical background, payer knowledge, and problem-solving skills.
• Perform clinical assessments of referred patients, then counsel with patients' families to assist them in making the best care decisions for their loved one.
• Partner with hospital case managers and physicians to create a smooth pre-admission and transfer process through removing payer-related and operational barriers for patients getting into our highly effective level of care.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Registered Nurse (RN) or Respiratory Therapist (RT) License. Will consider other designations like LPN, PT, OT, etc., upon further review.
• Ability to complete clinical assessments of medically complex patients.

Preferred skills that will make you a successful Clinical Liaison:

• Demonstrated success in patient advocacy.
• Superior communication and relationship-building skills.
• Prior healthcare marketing or business development experience is preferred, but extensive training is provided on this piece.
