Job summary

Select Medical is seeking a Clinical Liaison (RN or RT/RRT) for Select Specialty Hospital/Regency Hospital and LTACH settings. The role focuses on pre-admission advocacy, coordination of care, and facilitating transfers with strong clinical and payer knowledge.

The position offers an annual salary range of $70,000-$95,000 with uncapped monthly bonus potential and extensive onboarding. Typical schedule is Mon-Fri 8-5, full-time, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) or Respiratory Therapist (RT) License. Will consider other designations upon review.
• Ability to complete clinical assessments of medically complex patients.

Responsibilities

• You will work with physicians, discharge planners, and families to plan the continuum of care after ICU or post-surgical stays.
• You will counsel patients' families to assist them in making the best care decisions.
• You will partner with hospital staff to create a smooth pre-admission and transfer process, removing payer-related barriers.

Critical Illness Recovery Hospital (LTACH)

Annual Salary Range: $70,000 - $95,000 depending on years of relevant work experience. Plus uncapped monthly bonus potential.

A day in the life

You’ll advocate for referred patients in the pre-admission process by collaborating with clinical teams to assess patient needs. You will serve as a resource for healthcare professionals by fostering relationships within medical facilities. With clinical expertise and problem-solving skills, you’ll also coordinate care plans with physicians and families. Additionally, you will facilitate patient transfers and address barriers to accessing specialized post-ICU care.

• Full-time: Monday-Friday 8-5 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• You will work with physicians, discharge planners, and patients' families to plan the best continuum of care after an ICU or post-surgical stay by utilizing your strong clinical background, payer knowledge, and problem-solving skills.
• Perform clinical assessments of referred patients, then counsel with patients' families to assist them in making the best care decisions for their loved one.
• Partner with hospital case managers and physicians to create a smooth pre-admission and transfer process through removing payer-related and operational barriers for patients getting into our highly effective level of care.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Registered Nurse (RN) or Respiratory Therapist (RT) License. Will consider other designations like LPN, PT, OT, etc., upon further review.
• Ability to complete clinical assessments of medically complex patients.

Preferred skills that will make you a successful Clinical Liaison:

• Demonstrated success in patient advocacy.
• Superior communication and relationship-building skills.
• Prior healthcare marketing or business development experience is preferred, but extensive training is provided on this piece.
