Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center is seeking an experienced Clinical Leader (RN) for the PCU to oversee nursing care, staff supervision, and quality initiatives. You will lead clinical operations, promote evidence-based protocols, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver an optimal patient experience.

The role requires a BSN within 3 years of hire, an active Florida nursing license, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• BSN within 3 years of hire date.
• Current active Florida or Compact Nursing License.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS at time of hire.
• Three years of experience in specialty required.
• One to three years supervisory experience preferred.
• Additional certifications required at start date include ACLS/NRP/PALS/ NIH as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate clinical activities, operations, quality and safety of patient care and patient experience.
• Supervise nursing staff performance and support professional development and staff retention.
• Lead unit education including orientation, ongoing education and competencies, EMR education and hospital-wide education.
• Assist with accreditation and certification process data collection and preparation.
• Reinforce Patient Centered Care concepts and Service Excellence standards.
