Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center seeks a Clinical Leader (RN) for Medical Cardiac to oversee clinical activities and the patient experience on days. The role focuses on leadership, safety and quality, supervising nursing staff, and coordinating cross-disciplinary teams.

Qualified candidates will have a BSN within three years or be a graduate RN, Florida license, BLS, and 3+ years in a specialty with some supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• BSN within 3 years of hire date required.
• Current active Florida or Compact Nursing License.
• Current BLS certification at time of hire.
• Three years of experience in specialty required.
• One to three years supervisory experience preferred.
• ACLS and/or other unit certifications as start date requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversees clinical activities, operations, quality and safety of patient care and experience.
• Supervises nursing staff performance and supports professional development.
• Leads unit staff with evidence-based protocols and patient-centered care.
• Coordinates multi-disciplinary teams to achieve safe outcomes.
• Supports unit education, orientation and EMR training.
