Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a seasoned Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. Reporting under the physician, you will support exams, take vital signs, document histories, manage EMR entries, and assist with office training and workflow optimization.

Applicants should have 5+ years as a Medical Assistant, be certified/registered, and hold BLS. Strong computer skills, Excel/Outlook, and EMR experience are required; travel to affiliated offices may be needed.

Qualifications

• Education requirements as stated: high school diploma or equivalent; associate degree and/or MA certification preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years of Medical Assistant experience with increasing responsibilities; diverse care settings preferred.
• Must have exceptional clinical skills and solid computer literacy to document and coordinate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Maintains patient flow during clinic hours and documents review of systems.
• Records vital signs and updates medical history in the EMR at each visit.
• Trains staff and supports office workflow and patient care coordination.
• Performs phlebotomy, EKGs, and other duties as assigned and ensures chart accuracy.
• Pre-authorizes medications and handles patient communications as needed.
