Job summary

The Alden Network in Aurora, IL is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct nursing care and supervise nursing assistants, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local standards and facility policies.

You will lead daily nursing activities, develop plans of care, monitor patient conditions, and coordinate with physicians and families to maintain high-quality, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current, unencumbered RN or LPN license for IL or WI.
• CPR certification must be current or obtained within two weeks of employment.
• Knowledgeable of nursing practices and procedures.
• Demonstrates interest/knowledge in geriatric care.
• Must read, write and speak English clearly.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Ability to interact tactfully with customers, families, visitors and staff.
• Demonstrates leadership and supervisory ability.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and supervise nursing assistants.
• Plan, develop, organize and direct unit activities.
• Ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Develop care plans and monitor patient progress.
• Communicate with physicians, families and staff regarding patient care.
• Maintain accurate nursing notes and documentation.
• Attend meetings and participate in care planning conferences.
