Job summary

The Alden Network in Chicago, IL is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct nursing care and supervise day-to-day activities of nursing assistants, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards and Alden policies. You will plan and direct care, supervise staff, maintain care plans, monitor patient conditions, document accurately, and coordinate with physicians.

A valid IL or WI RN license and CPR certification are required, along with strong communication and leadership

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Illinois and/or Wisconsin.
• CPR certification within two weeks of employment.
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills.
• Interest and/or knowledge in care of the aged.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants.
• Plan, develop, and direct nursing care for the unit.
• Ensure nursing procedures follow established policies and care plans.
• Directly supervise and instruct nursing staff to promote knowledge.
• Maintain patient care documentation and charting with accuracy.
• Coordinate with physicians and families regarding care plans.
