Job summary

Mitchell County Hospital District is seeking a Medical Technologist in the Laboratory to perform clinical tests, interpret results, and maintain instruments. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or CLS, and licensure/registration with ASCP, AMT, ISLCT or HEW.

One year of experience is preferred, with ability to work rotating shifts. The successful candidate will handle specimen collection, testing across chemistry, hematology, serology, and blood bank, and ensure HIPAA

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Sciences is required.
• Knowledge of medical laboratory collection, testing and equipment operation.
• Familiar with operating computers and software used in labs.

Responsibilities

• Obtains specimens from patients and performs established tests.
• Interprets test results and maintains instrument and equipment.
• Reviews results for accuracy before reporting and maintains records.
