Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related specialty.
• Certification/registration or certification/registry eligible as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician is required.
• Knowledge of the principles, methods, materials, equipment and techniques of medical technology.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs laboratory tests and reports results accurately to the physician.
• Assists in the general operation of the laboratory and quality assurance programs.
• Maintains laboratory equipment and assists with safety and compliance.
• After probation is satisfactorily completed, acts as a general supervisor for waived, moderate and high complexity testing.
