Advocate Health is seeking a Laboratory Technologist in Charlotte, NC, to perform testing with strict QA adherence. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and MT/MLS eligibility with ASCP certification within a year.

You will handle reagents, inventory, and routine maintenance while ensuring regulatory compliance and quality patient care. The position is full-time, with 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday day shifts, and a pay range of $28.55–$42.85 per hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• MT/MLS registry eligible within one year of hire.
• MT(ASCP) or MLS(ASCP) eligible within one year of hire.
• Licensed or eligible for MT/MLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Follows testing procedures and QA guidelines and documents corrective actions for non-conforming events.
• Prepares reagents and maintains materials; manages inventory to reduce waste/expense.
• Uses clinical judgment to prioritize tasks and troubleshoot test systems via appropriate channels.
• Reviews and revises procedures to maintain accreditation standards (CAP, TJC, OSHA).
• Maintains real-time shift communications with leadership regarding issues affecting patient care or operations.
• Participates in staff meetings, task forces, and projects to implement changes.
