Advocate Health's Carolinas Medical Center Core Lab: Chemistry is hiring a Medical Laboratory Technician. This full-time role requires an associate degree or equivalent and MLT registry eligibility with certification within one year.

Work hours are 3:30 PM to midnight, Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends and holidays, and a 40-hour work week. Responsibilities include following testing procedures, preparing reagents, maintaining supply levels, and ensuring adherence to QA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have an associate degree or equivalent education and training as defined by CLIA.
• MLT registry eligible or equivalent required.
• MLT (ASCP/AMT) or equivalent required within one year of hire.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrates proficiency and follows testing procedures and policies by adherence to quality assurance guidelines for equipment and work area, documenting corrective action to any non-conforming event.
• Prepares reagents, maintains an adequate supply of materials for test procedures and manages inventory to effectively reduce departmental waste/expense.
• Exercises clinical judgment in assessing priorities while identifying, problem solving and offering solutions to test systems through the appropriate department channels.
• Assists with review and revision of procedures and documentation related to accreditation, adhering to all regulatory requirements for various authorities, including but not limited to CAP, TJC, OSHA.
