Qualifications

• Clinical laboratory experience: Preferred

Responsibilities

• Employs positive patient identification procedures to ensure the integrity of each specimen for pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical testing.
• Performs proper specimen collection and handling, labeling, processing and storage following QA policies.
• Reviews and reports test results, expediting critical values to clinicians in a timely manner.
• Performs equipment maintenance, calibration, and inventory/restocks reagents and supplies as needed.
• Supervises trainees and laboratory assistants as needed and participates in data for Performance Improvement evaluations.
