Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Related field.
• Specialized/technical training: California CLS or Specialty License.
• 1 year experience and/or CLS training in complex analyses, QC, calibration, inventory, and QC improvement.
• Point of Care experience preferred.
• Strong time management abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work with physicians and diverse teams.
• Knowledge of GMP and FDA/State requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs Biochemical, Hematological, Microbiological and/or Blood Bank analyses on varied specimens.
• Maintains accuracy, reliability and timely results per hospital policy.
• Ensures results meet defined turnaround times.
• Communicates results to clinical staff and appropriate departments.
• Monitors supplies and assists in inventory control.
• Trains personnel and supports department QA programs.
• Adheres to safety and infection control guidelines.
• Flexible to cover lab in emergencies and assist in training.
