Responsibilities:

• Perform specimen processing and testing independently, including moderate and high complexity tests. Analyze test results and ensure accuracy.
• Evaluate and recommend new methods, instrumentation, and technology based on customer needs, cost, and revenue.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards. Serve as a resource within and outside the department.
• Manage projects by planning, coordinating resources, setting timelines, and reporting progress.
• Maintain quality control by running controls, evaluating data, documenting, and taking corrective actions.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues, demonstrating proactive problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

• Associates degree required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Minimum 5 years experience in a clinical laboratory setting.

Licenses and Certifications:

• MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), MT(AMT), MT(AAB), CLS(NCA), MT(HEW), MLT(ASCP), MLT(HEW). Certification waived for those with over 10 years of lab experience.
