Job summary

Desert Valley Hospital & Medical Group in Victorville, CA is seeking a qualified Medical Laboratory Technologist to perform waived, moderate, and high-complexity tests under CLIA. You will adhere to QC policies, maintain instruments, review results for accuracy, and support lab operations across Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis and Microbiology.

The role may include venipuncture and occasional lead duties during shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of hospital laboratory work experience.
• ASCP certification, or equivalent preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution, or other educational requirements as stated in CLIA (42 CFR 493.1489)
• Current and Valid State License if the laboratory is located in a state where required.

Responsibilities

• Perform waived to highly complex tests as authorized by CLIA.
• Adhere to laboratory procedures for collection, processing, analysis and reporting of results.
• Follow quality control policies and document corrective actions.
• Maintain and calibrate instruments; perform maintenance as needed.
• Review accuracy of patient results prior to reporting; ensure age-appropriate reference ranges.
