Job summary

Bear Valley Community Healthcare District is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Full-Time) to work in the Laboratory Department. The CLS performs high, moderate, Provider Performed Microscopy, and waived testing under CLIA and accrediting body requirements, ensuring standards and safety for personnel and hospital objectives.

The role requires a California CLS license, a Bachelor's degree in MLS or related science, and BLS within 3 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or other science discipline that meets CLIA requirements.
• California CLS license is required.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• ASCP certification or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides accurate pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical testing.
• Performs qualitative and quantitative tests per procedure and regulatory requirements.
• Responsible for specimen acceptance, maintenance, calibration, QC, documentation and communications of test results.
• Ensures compliance with laws, regulations, and hospital policies; upholds ethical behavior.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
