Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist II at Morton Plant North Bay Hospital in New Port Richey, FL. The role conducts advanced diagnostic testing, quality control, and mentorship for testing staff on the night shift.

The position requires an Associate’s degree in Medical Technology (or related) with Florida licensure, and prefers a Bachelor’s degree. Expect 3x12s, onsite duties, weekends on alternating schedule, and no on-call responsibilities.

Job Summary

Performs advanced diagnostic testing and quality control procedures, prepares reagents, and reports results in accordance with established policies and procedures. Conducts moderate to high complexity testing, maintains laboratory systems, and assists with training and orientation of testing personnel. Evaluates competencies and supports continuous improvement in lab operations. Demonstrates leadership in maintaining compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across all testing activities. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required

• Associate’s degree in Medical Technology OR a related field

• (2) Years of Clinical laboratory experience

Licensure / Certification

• State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist License
