Job summary

BayCare Health System in Plant City, FL is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist I to join a busy lab service. You will perform diagnostic testing and QC procedures to support high‑quality patient care, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established standards.

The role requires an Associate’s degree in medical technology or a related field, Florida CLS license, and clinical lab experience. The work schedule is 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM, full‑time, with every‑other weekend and a strong total rewards

Qualifications

• Clinical laboratory experience is required.
• Minimum of four (4) months of clinical laboratory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performing diagnostic testing and quality control procedures
• Preparing reagents and reporting test results in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Reviewing and overseeing moderate to high‑complexity testing
• Maintaining laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and supply inventory
• Monitoring computer applications related to laboratory operations
• Ensuring accuracy, quality, and regulatory compliance in all testing activities
• Performing other duties as assigned in support of laboratory operations

Role Overview

As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist I, you will support high‑quality patient care by performing diagnostic laboratory testing and quality control procedures while ensuring accuracy and compliance with established laboratory standards. This role supports moderate to high‑complexity testing and plays a key role in daily laboratory operations.
