Role Overview

As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist II , you will be responsible for performing diagnostic testing and quality control procedures while maintaining accuracy and compliance with all policies and regulatory standards. You will support moderate-to high-complexity testing, prepare reagents, maintain laboratory systems and equipment, assist with training new personnel, and ensure high-quality results that support patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic testing and quality control procedures


• Prepare reagents and accurately report results per established policies


• Perform and oversee moderate-to high-complexity laboratory testing


• Maintain laboratory computer applications and documentation


• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and supplies


• Assist with training, orientation, and competency assessments of laboratory personnel


• Ensure adherence to regulatory, safety, and quality standards


• Support workflow, communication, and collaboration within the laboratory team


• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education

• Required: Associate's degree in Medical Technology or a related scientific field


• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a related field

Certification & Licensure – Required

• State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist License

Experience

• Clinical laboratory experience required
