Job summary

Methodist Healthcare System in San Antonio, Texas, is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist I to perform routine and high-complexity tests, ensuring accurate results and reliable operation of lab equipment.

You will process specimens, evaluate results, maintain QC, and communicate findings to physicians and staff; a high school diploma with MLS training or an associate/bachelor's degree qualifies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with clinical lab experience or degrees as specified.
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in CLS/MLT pathways as per the job requirements.
• Ability to perform routine and complex testing with proper QC and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Performs specimen processing and testing independently to include moderate and high complexity testing.
• Analyzes test results with understanding of pathological processes and disease states.
• Maintains equipment, performs preventive maintenance, and troubleshoots issues.
• Implements quality control, documents data, and communicates QC information to supervisor.
• Provides information about test results to physicians and staff; acts as a resource.
