Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Technologist to join our team in San Antonio, TX. The role involves determining specimen acceptability and performing routine to complex technical procedures in a fast-paced clinical lab.

Responsibilities include monitoring instrumentation, evaluating reagents, and delivering accurate test results to support patient care. A Bachelor’s degree in a chemical/biological science or MLS is required, with ASCP/AMT certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
• 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience OR an MLS degree.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions per SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation for proper functionality.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results for quality patient care.
