Job summary

BayCare Health System, Blood Services – MPH, located in Morton Plant, seeks a Clinical Laboratory Scientist I for PRN, onsite work. The role involves performing diagnostic testing, QC, preparing reagents, and reporting results while ensuring adherence to policies and quality standards.

Required is an Associate’s degree in Medical Technology or related field with Florida licensure; clinical lab experience (4+ months) is necessary. Flexible scheduling and non-exempt status offered.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Medical Technology or a related field is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
• Clinical laboratory experience is required.
• Minimum of four (4) months of related experience.
• State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist License is required.

Responsibilities

• Performing diagnostic testing and quality control procedures
• Preparing reagents and reporting results according to established policies and procedures
• Reviewing and overseeing moderate to high complexity laboratory testing
• Maintaining laboratory equipment and supply inventory
• Monitoring computer applications related to laboratory operations
• Ensuring accuracy and compliance in all testing activities
• Performing other duties as assigned

Role Overview

As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist I, you will support accurate and timely diagnostic services by performing laboratory testing while ensuring compliance with established policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Performing diagnostic testing and quality control procedures
• Preparing reagents and reporting results according to established policies and procedures
• Reviewing and overseeing moderate to high complexity laboratory testing
• Maintaining laboratory equipment and supply inventory
• Monitoring computer applications related to laboratory operations

• Performing other duties as assigned
