Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, Biology, or Allied Health.
• Eligible for ASCP or equivalent certification examination.
• General MLS/MT Certification or eligible; ASCP certification within 1 year if hired after 1/19/2025.

Responsibilities

• Performs all aspects of pre-analytic workflow and ensures correct order entry.
• Verifies orders, non-patient information, and resolves ambiguities with clinicians.
• Collects, receives and processes specimens; ensures proper labeling and notifications.
• Performs analytical testing following SOPs and maintains instrument quality.
• Performs QC, stability checks, and ensures reagent availability.
• Performs post-analytical tasks including reporting and documentation.
