Job summary

BayCare Health System, Bartow Regional Medical Center, Bartow, FL, is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist Coordinator to lead daily laboratory operations and ensure high-quality diagnostic services.

In this onsite, full-time role with 4 x 10 hour day shifts, you will supervise staff, manage scheduling, uphold policies and regulatory requirements, and drive staff development and performance improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biological Science or related Clinical Science field.
• 4 Years of Clinical laboratory experience.
• State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist License.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead daily laboratory operations, including scheduling and supervision.
• Oversee all phases of the laboratory process.
• Ensure adherence to laboratory policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Oversee quality assurance and quality management programs.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and proficiency testing.
• Lead staff education, training and competency validation.

Role Overview

As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist Coordinator , you will lead daily laboratory operations while ensuring high-quality diagnostic services, regulatory compliance, and team development.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Coordinating and leading daily laboratory operations, including scheduling and supervisory responsibilities
• Prioritizing, delegating, and overseeing all phases of the laboratory process
• Ensuring adherence to all laboratory policies, procedures, and quality standards
• Overseeing quality assurance and quality management programs and addressing process deviations
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies and system-wide requirements, including proficiency testing
• Leading staff education, training, and competency validation
• Serving as a mentor, trainer, and resource for laboratory team members
• Assisting with data collection and monitoring to support laboratory performance goals
• Supporting operational leadership responsibilities in the absence of a manager or supervisor

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Biological Science OR a related Clinical Science field

Experience

• 4 Years of Clinical laboratory experience

Licensure / Certification

• State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist License
