Job summary

Main Line Health is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist for Lankenau Medical Center. The 40-hour per week role includes an evening shift (3-11:30pm) with weekend rotation and a $7,500 sign-on bonus, plus opportunities for tuition reimbursement and flexible education goals.

Responsibilities include performing complex testing, ensuring accurate reporting, and maintaining quality through proper documentation in the LIS. A Bachelor's degree and ASCP equivalent certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program or related field.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.
• MLT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of complex laboratory testing to support diagnosis and treatment.
• Demonstrate accurate specimen processing, test performance and reporting of results.
• Utilize laboratory computer systems to document and track tests and results.

Position

Clinical Laboratory Scientist – 40 hour/week – This position does not include blood bank

Shift

Evening- 3-11:30pm, two holidays, 1 in 4 weekends per departmental need.

Experience

• Must have skills necessary to perform procedures contained in the laboratory procedure manual, including specimen processing, test performance and reporting test results.
• Demonstrated communication, organization, and prioritization skills required.
• Previous laboratory computer system experience preferred.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program or related field
• Equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Licensures/Certifications

MLT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred.
