Job summary

Main Line Health is seeking a Lab Assistant, Outreach to collect routine and STAT blood samples from multiple facilities and deliver to the Lab. This part-time role travels to Montgomery, Delaware, Chester, and Philadelphia counties and requires strong multitasking and patient-focused service.

The position offers early shifts (5am-9am or 6am-10am, M-F with rotating weekends), 2 years lab experience, High school graduate or equivalent (MA or related preferred), valid driver’s license, and

• 2 years lab experience required.
• High school graduate or equivalent; MA or related certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and insured automobile, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect routine, STAT and other blood samples from multiple facilities.
• Deliver specimens to Main Line Health Lab and process as needed.
• Balance multiple priorities and manage heavy traffic flow with a positive attitude.
• Maintain accurate documentation and support lab operations as required.

Position

Lab Assistant, Outreach (Part-time 20 hours per week)-

This role will travel to Montgomery, Delaware, Chester, Philadelphia Counties.

Shift

5am-9am; 6am-10am(flexible) M-F, rotating weekends (on calls 7am-6pm, 6am at Sat at Mirmont)

Experience

2 years lab experience required

Experience In An Anatomic Or Clinical Laboratory Preferred.

Ability to work in more than 1 section of the lab preferred

Working knowledge of medical information systems preferred.

Education

High school graduate or equivalent, certification as a medical assistant or related field preferred, moderate knowledge of medical terminology, excellent verbal, written, computer and clerical skills.

Licensures/Certifications

Valid driver�s license and insured automobile, if appropriate

MA or related preferred

Maintains certification in the Packaging and Shipping of Hazardous Goods
