Job summary

Main Line Health, Inc. at Bryn Mawr Hospital is seeking a Per diem, Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Generalist). The position excludes Blood Bank and offers an evening shift (3:00 PM–11:30 PM) with every other weekend.

You will perform a range of complex tests, report results, and contribute to patient care. The role emphasizes collaboration within a top-tier interdisciplinary team and exposure to cutting-edge technology to support community health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program or related field.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
• MLT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Experience with specimen processing, test performance and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of complex testing to detect, diagnose, and treat disease.
• Report test results accurately and promptly.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support patient care.

Position:

Per diem, Clinical Laboratory Scientist – Generalist experience preferred. This role does not include Blood Bank.

Shift:

Evening Shift- 3p-11:30p- every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday). Training is approximately 8 weeks- mostly of day shift.

Experience:

1. Must have skills necessary to perform procedures contained in the laboratory procedure manual, including specimen processing, test performance and reporting test results.
2. Demonstrated communication, organization, and prioritization skills required.
3. Previous laboratory computer system experience preferred.

Education:

1. Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program or related field
2. Equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Licensures/Certifications:

MLT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred.
