Job summary

Altasciences Preclinical Seattle LLC in Seattle, WA is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technologist to support receipt, processing, and analysis of specimens, verify data, and perform quality assurance. You will operate and maintain instruments, manage reagents, and produce reliable analytical results.

Collaborate with pathologists and managers to improve laboratory operations, cross-train staff, and monitor supplies.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in medical technology or equivalent.
• MLS/MLT certification or 5–10 years of related training.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and data entry.
• Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Strong math and data interpretation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Process and handle analytical specimens.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Prepare, store, and maintain inventory of reagents and materials.
• Produce, review, and manage analytical data.
• Recognize equipment malfunctions and notify management.
• Participate in continuing education programs.
• Participate in ongoing daily quality assurance activities and studies.
• Develop the ability to recognize factors affecting measurements and take corrective action.
• Work with pathologist and managers to improve lab operations.
• Cross-train to perform other duties with Laboratory Services.
• Assist in training new laboratory personnel by demonstrating skills.
• Assess supplies for departmental needs and order items.
