Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, MT, MLS or equivalent registry eligible.
• MT (ASCP) or MLS(ASCP) or equivalent required within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency and follows testing procedures and QA guidelines.
• Prepares reagents and maintains an adequate supply of materials to reduce waste/expense.
• Exercises clinical judgment to prioritize and troubleshoot test systems via appropriate channels.
• Assists with review and revision of procedures for accreditation and regulatory compliance.
• Maintains real time communications shift-to-shift with leadership regarding issues.
• Participates in planning, staff meetings, and improvement projects.
• Participates in competency assessment program where qualified.
