Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Medical Science, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Certifications such as MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), or equivalent required upon hire.
• Minimum one year of laboratory experience preferred.
• Proficiency in computer/data entry, with experience using Excel, Word, and laboratory systems like Epic and 3M preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with healthcare team members.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accuracy in patient, quality assurance, proficiency, and competency testing.
• Analyze, investigate, interpret, and report laboratory data using clinical and theoretical knowledge.
• Ensure correct specimen identification and document investigations of QA failures or trends.
• Report lab data accurately within established turnaround times, recognizing relationships between lab data and clinical findings.
• Contribute to performance improvements, inspection readiness, and cost-efficient work processes.
• Maintain current knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance, including safety standards.
• Participate in meetings, committees, and ongoing education.
