Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency seeks a Laboratory Technician to perform clinical testing under supervision, ensuring accuracy and quality assurance. You will maintain equipment, records, and protocols in a hospital or laboratory setting, with potential teaching responsibilities.

The role requires MT/MLS certification, a bachelor’s in Medical Technology or Medical Science, and at least one year of lab experience. Strong computer skills and collaboration with healthcare teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Medical Science.
• MT(ASCP) or MLS(ASCP) certification required upon hire.
• Minimum one year laboratory experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word; Epic and 3M experience preferred.
• Strong communication with healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate patient and specimen identification and low error rates in testing and reporting.
• Document investigations and QA trends.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation for timely reporting of data.
• Analyze, investigate, and interpret lab data with clinical information.
• Monitor test statuses, communicate findings, and follow procedures.
• Contribute to performance improvement and method development.
• Maintain knowledge of policies, regulations, and safety standards.
• Perform additional duties and ensure compliance.
