Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MT/MLS registry eligible or equivalent.
• MT (ASCP) or MLS (ASCP) registry in progress or eligible within one year.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to quality assurance guidelines for equipment and work area and documents corrective actions for non-conforming events.
• Prepares reagents, maintains supplies, and manages inventory to reduce waste and expenses.
• Uses clinical judgment to prioritize and troubleshoot test systems through appropriate department channels.
• Reviews and revises procedures and documentation to meet accreditation and regulatory requirements (CAP, TJC, OSHA).
• Maintains real-time shift-to-shift communications with leadership about issues affecting patient care or operations.
• Participates in staff meetings, task forces, and projects to implement change.
• Participates in competency assessment programs where qualified.
