Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold NYS license as Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
• Provisional/limited permits must obtain full license within 24 months of hire.
• ASCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical laboratory analyses and examinations on blood, urine, body fluids and tissues per department procedures.
• Interpret and correlate test results with patient history to aid diagnosis and treatment.
• Communicate stat and critical results to physicians and care teams.
• Maintain QC, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting; manage supplies and inventory.
• Assist with testing workflow and computer reporting; contribute to education in MLS program rotations.
• Comply with all regulatory lab requirements.
