Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology, Medical Technology, biology, chemistry or physical science per NYS standards.
• Current clinical laboratory technology certification or NYS licensure is required or eligible.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of clinical laboratory experience or licensed CLT is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare specimens and perform routine or special tests across Biochemistry, Blood Bank, Hematology and Microbiology/Diagnostic Immunology.
• Conduct tests and interpret data using LIS; ensure accurate reporting to physicians.
• Set up and calibrate laboratory equipment; perform quality control and assist in instrument maintenance.
• Maintain records and prepare patient reports; assist in training personnel and students.
