Job summary

Highland Hospital of Rochester NY is seeking a full-time Lab Technologist to join its team in Rochester, NY. The role involves 40 hours per week with early shifts (3am-1:30pm, 10-hour shifts) or (3:00am-11:30am, 8-hour shifts) and rotating weekends and holidays.

The Technologist will perform timely and accurate test analyses using moderately complex methods, operate instrumentation, maintain quality control, and report results. NYSDOH licensure is required, with one year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must meet NYSDOH licensure requirements for Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
• One year as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist preferred.
• New York State license or permit for Clinical Laboratory Technologist required by regulatory authorities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze patient, proficiency and quality control samples using moderately complex instrumentation.
• Report results using computer/instrument interfaces.
• Operate laboratory/instrument equipment in at least two core areas.
• Perform routine testing, calibrations, maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Receive, log, label and process laboratory specimens.
