Northwell Career Site seeks a Laboratory Technologist to perform clinical laboratory procedures under established protocols in a high-quality environment. You will set up and run routine and complex tests, prepare specimens, report results and maintain equipment.

Requirements include a NYSED license as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, a bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field, and at least one year of relevant experience. ASCP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Performs clinical laboratory procedures and examinations according to protocols.
• Maintains equipment, records, and quality control activities.
• Requires independent judgment and responsibility in testing and reporting.

Responsabilités

• Sets up and performs routine and complex laboratory tests.
• Prepares and tests specimens for examination and reports results.
• Follows in-process quality control procedures and records data.
• Maintains lab equipment and performs preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoots instrumentation and reagents as needed.
• Upholds Infection Control practices and procedures.
