Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a Medical Laboratory Technician to join 60164 WI ACL Laboratories - AMC Burlington. The role involves performing and evaluating tests, ensuring quality control, and supporting acute care departments.

Full-time position with 40 hours/week, 0600–1430 shifts, every third weekend and rotating holidays. Education and licensure requirements apply; comprehensive benefits available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or Medical Technology required.
• ASCP MT/MLS or AMT certification required within 1 year of hire.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs, evaluates, and monitors laboratory tests as authorized within established protocols.
• Evaluates results for clinical significance and reports accordingly.
• Maintains calibration and maintenance of instruments; recognizes malfunctions.
• Ensures quality control and QA procedures are followed for improvements.
• Collects specimens from newborn, pediatric, and adult patients as required.
• Provides training and guidance to laboratory staff and students.
