Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences.
• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related field.
• MT/MLS/AMT certification needed within 1 year.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs, evaluates and monitors laboratory tests per established protocols.
• Evaluates results for clinical significance and reports appropriately.
• Performs calibration, maintenance, and repair of instruments.
• Performs quality control and quality assurance activities.
• Collects and labels specimens per protocol.
• Provides training and supervision to staff and students.
• Ensures compliance with accrediting standards and CAP requirements.
• Performs proficiency testing.
• Handles testing across transfusion services, microbiology, chemistry, hematology, histology, coagulation, flow cytometry.
• Provides timely results for critical care departments (ED, ICU, OR).
• Demonstrates age-appropriate care for patients.
