Job summary

Labcorp in Oak Creek, WI seeks a Clinical Lab Professional to join our team. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a chemical or biological science and MLS degree or equivalent, with ASCP/AMT preferred. Work includes specimen eligibility, testing per SOPs, and instrument troubleshooting.

Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm with rotating weekends. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential to deliver accurate patient results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
• MLS degree or equivalent required or strongly preferred.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred; ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures per SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation for proper function.
• Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results to support patient care.
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear required PPE.
