Job summary

Versiti Blood Research Institute in Milwaukee seeks a Laboratory Technician to perform CLIA regulated testing and support customers with sample acceptability and result inquiries.

The role includes reagent preparation, routine maintenance of equipment, and training of junior staff. You will interpret test results, review panels, and ensure sample integrity while complying with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, clinical laboratory science, immunology or related field required.
• Associate degree in lab science or medical laboratory technology required.
• 1–3 years of pertinent lab experience and/or training required.
• Mastery of Associate Technologist duties, responsibilities, and behaviors.

Responsibilities

• Understand and perform to all regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Perform testing as scheduled and support sample evaluation and processing.
• Carry out reagent preparation and routine equipment maintenance.
• Provide on-call, weekend, and holiday coverage when needed.
• Train staff on job-specific tasks and assist in competency assessments.
