Job summary

Versiti Blood Center of Wisconsin seeks a laboratory professional to perform CLIA regulated testing and support routine reagent preparation and equipment maintenance. You will interact with customers to resolve concerns about sample acceptability and results, and you will assist in training junior staff and interpreting test panels.

The role requires a biology/related field degree (BS or AS) and 1–3 years of lab experience, with strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, molecular biology, immunology, clinical laboratory science or related field is required.
Associate's degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology is required.
1–3 years of pertinent laboratory experience and/or training is required.
Mastery of Associate Technologist duties, responsibilities, and behaviors is required.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team with good communication.

Responsibilities

Understand and perform to all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements.
Perform testing, as scheduled and interpret results.
Support sample evaluation, processing, and LIS communications.
Perform on call, weekend and holiday work as scheduled.
Maintain reagent preparation and routine calibration/maintenance of equipment.
Train staff on job-specific tasks and participate in validations as needed.
Review daily work for accuracy and resolve discrepancies with escalation when appropriate.
