Job summary

Versiti Blood Center of Wisconsin is seeking a laboratory technician to perform CLIA regulated and clinical contract research testing under supervision. You will interact with customers to resolve sample acceptability and results while supporting reagent preparation and routine maintenance of equipment.

This is a temporary, full-time role (40 hours/week) on the 1st shift (Mon-Fri) for one year, with salary and benefits discussed during screening.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required in biology/chemistry/related field.
• Associate's Degree in lab science required.
• Able to read SOPs and safety rules; detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Understand and perform regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Perform testing as scheduled.
• Support sample evaluation and processing as needed.
• Occasionally work on-call, weekends, and holidays.
• Conduct reagent preparation and routine equipment maintenance.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and calibrate equipment.
• Support inquiries via phone, email, LIS, and documentation.
• Maintain inventory and sample integrity.
• May participate in validations and trainings.
• Maintain departmental records and assist visitors.
