Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Lab Professional to join the team at Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc, MI. The role is casual/as needed with 1st shift hours from 6:00am to 2:30pm, with days and shifts varying.

The candidate will determine specimen acceptability, perform and supervise testing, monitor instruments, and report results to support high-quality patient care. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
• 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience OR an MLS degree.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures according to departmental SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear PPE.
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
